Lt Col Raymond Roessler, 1963-2007
Long time MOA & LOA member, Lt Col Raymond Roessler, age 43, was taken from us on October 5, 2007 when his single-engine Piper PA-28 airplane crashed near Interstate 15 in San Bernardino County, Calif. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Roessler family.
The family has requested individuals make a donation in memory of Lt Col Raymond Roessler, in lieu of sending flowers.
Colonel Michael W. Butler, 1954-2007
Long time MOA & LOA member, retired Colonel Michael Wayne Butler, age 53, was taken from us on June 12, 2007 when his vehicle, a Humvee second in a convoy, was hit by an IED (Improvised Explosive Device) followed by a small arms attack and a direct hit by an RPG (Rocket Propelled Grenade) near Tikrit, Iraq while working for DynCorp International. He is survived by his wife Joanne, sons Mike and Daniel, and grandson Da’Kori.

COL (RET) GEORGE HOPE LEDBETTER
Col (Ret) George Hope Ledbetter, 56, of Greenville, SC died November 9, 2007 of complications from pancreatic cancer. He was the husband of Col (Ret) Carmen Mezzacappa, a past LOA National President. He was also a longtime LOA member. We will miss you George.
CAPT CARTIZE BARNARD DURHAM
Capt. Cartize B. “Bull” Durham was killed in the crash of an Army Blackhawk helicopter near Aviano Air Base, Italy on Nov. 8. Durham, 30, was from Bossier City, LA and long time LOA member. He was a materiel management flight commander in the 31st Logistics Readiness Squadron at Aviano Air Base, Italy.
Lt Col (Ret) Ann L. Isaacs
Colonel Isaacs was born Ann Holstein in St. Marie's, Idaho, on October 9, 1963. She received her commission in 1986 from the University of Washington, Reserve Officer Training Corps. She also received a Master's Degree from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. Her successful career saw her serve in a variety of aircraft maintenance positions, including commander of a maintenance squadron. At her retirement, she was the 752nd Combat Sustainment Group Deputy Director at Robins Air Force Base Air Logistics Center, Ga. Col Isaacs was also a long time member of LOA. Funeral services were held December 18, 2008, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home in Warner Robins, Georgia with interment at Arlington National Cemetery February 18, 2009.
