President's Message

Thank you for your interest in the Logistics Officer Association and welcome to our official website. I am honored to be president of LOA during this period of unprecedented growth in the association's history. In 1982, 40 young maintainers envisioned and founded an organization - the Maintenance Officer Association (MOA) - that would address the specific developmental needs of their profession. On May 1, 1999, MOA evolved to become the Logistics Officer Association (LOA), reflecting more accurately the current Air Force structure. LOA's purpose is to enhance the military logistics profession. LOA provides an open forum to promote quality logistical support and logistics officer professional development.

LOA National is a nonprofit, professional educational organization with no official affiliation with the United States Air Force. LOA promotes professional growth among its members through the crossflow of information on aviation maintenance policies, technical innovations and other logistics issues. This is possible because LOA serves as a professional association open to all interested individuals, including retirees, members of our sister services, our civilian counterparts and corporate partners. The Exceptional Release (ER), LOA's widely-read, quarterly professional journal, reflects LOA's broad-based interests.
