National Capital Chapter visit to restoration facility

The National Capital Chapter recently toured the Paul E. Garber Preservation, Restoration, and Storage Facility.  The facility restores the aircraft on display in the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum and is world renowned for its capabilities.  While their restorations efforts are not intended to make an aircraft flight worthy, their painstaking research on the historical history of every aircraft they restore is amazing.  During our tour of the numerous buildings, the chapter stumbled on to an item from area 51 and took a quick picture!  We hope to see chapter members at our 15 March tour of the National Archives.  If you have any questions about chapter events call Wes Manship at 703-695-8948.
