The logisticians at Incirlik AB continue to adapt to the changing mission requirements while focusing on our number one priority with our surety mission. Our main focus recently has been on fine tuning our Surety response capabilities while honing our maintenance practices.

The 728th Air Mobility Squadron, with support from the 39th Air Base Wing loggies, continues to move approximately 10K s/tons of cargo to OIF/OEF forward operation locations, eliminating the requirement for 6000 convoy trucks on the roads of Iraq each month; saving lives. Our loggie community also has been honored with a couple of noteworthy awards recently. First, the 39 ABW was recognized as the best logistics unit in USAFE winning the 2005 USAFE General Thomas P. Gerrity Logistics Unit award. Additionally, the 39th Logistics Readiness Squadron was named best in AF, winning the 2005 AF Logistics Readiness Squadron of the Year (Non-flying unit). We are all very proud of our accomplishments and continue to strive for excellence.
