The chapter keeps fit to fight by dominating the bases
intramural sports program. This year the chapter fielded both a
flag football team as well as a softball team. The stands were
always filled with family and fellow members to cheer on the
team. The teams built esprit de corps and provided a chance to
get some informal networking and mentoring in. We work hard and
play even harder.
The chapter also recently hosted the Davis-Monthan LOA Chapter.
Returning the favor from last fall’s trip to DM, Luke got to
show off why we are the biggest and the best in AETC and the
“cross-pollination” proved to be beneficial for both chapters.
DM got to take back some great ideas on Lean and Continuous
Process Improvement. The trip included a golf outing, bowling
night, and tours of the innovative practices that many of the
shops at Luke are implementing. Perhaps most importantly, Luke
regained control of the Arizona Crud Trophy!
