Sonoran Chapter tours ejection seat manufacturing facility

The Sonoran Chapter at Luke AFB recently visited the Goodrich Corp.'s ACES II ejection seat manufacturing facility in Phoenix.  They were impressed by their tech data which includes full-color photos of what each step of the manufacturing process should look like and their internal "Idea" program that incentivizes even the smallest suggestions and has truly made every employee interested in continual process improvement.  Finally, LOA members  were treated to an overview of their lean processes and compared it to the several processes they've begun there at Luke.  Overall, a great tour of a first-class manufacturing facility and another great example of how a chapter can help the professional development of their officers by looking beyond the front gate!
