DSCR Commander speaks at LOA Luncheon at WPAFB
Rear Admiral (Lower Half) Michael J. Lyden, Commander of the
Defense Supply Center in Richmond (DSCR), Virginia, was a great hit at the
Logistics Officers Association (LOA) Wright Brothers Chapter Luncheon last month
at Wright-Patterson AFB. Admiral Lyden noted to the local LOA audience of over
60 attendees that he was an active LOA member and they maintained their own LOA
James River Chapter back in Richmond. He gave an enthusiastic and insightful
overview of how DSCR fits into the “Big Picture” Defense Logistics Agency, and
how DSCR commodities management relates to and differs from the other DLA
inventory control points in Philadelphia PA and Columbus OH. DSCR’s primary
focus is on Aviation Supply Management and serves as the DoD Single Touch Point
to Aviation Warfighters. |
