ARTICLE IV: Election of Officers
SECTION 1 Nominations.
The general membership will nominate persons to run for a position on the
Executive Council each year during the month of June. The President shall
declare that the nominating process is closed on the monthly meeting day of
June.
SECTION 2 Elections.
Election of all officers shall be made each year by majority vote of current LOA
members via the Hill LOA website during the month of July.

The Executive
Council will host a "meet-the-candidates" meeting whereby the members
running for election can introduce themselves to the LOA general
membership.

The Executive
Council shall prepare an electronic ballot for use by the general
membership. The current Secretary shall tabulate the votes and announce
the results.

In the event of failure to achieve a majority vote
for any office on the first ballot, a run-off election will be held
between the two nominees having received the most votes on the first
ballot.
SECTION 3 Assumption of Office.
All elected officials shall assume office the next Executive Council meeting or
general membership meeting.
SECTION 4 Vacancies.
Vacancies occurring among any of the elected officials shall be filled through
the procedures established above. The President may make temporary appointments
of acting officers when necessary to continue Hill LOA business.
