Purpose: The purpose of the Logistician of the Quarter Award is to recognize the outstanding achievements of our enlisted and civilian personnel each quarter who have demonstrated superior leadership in their respective area of responsibility and the individual's contribution towards improving logistics and unit operations.

Award Period: The award is presented quarterly (Jan-Mar, Apr-Jun, Jul-Sep, Oct-Dec). The President of Kirtland LOA, or designated representative will present the awards to the individuals.  Packages are due by 5 Apr, 5 Jul, 5 Oct, and 5 Jan for the previous quarter.  Email award packages to william.burrous@kirtland.af.mil

Nominations: Each organization on Kirtland AFB that has logistics personnel assigned may submit a package. Each nomination will be on an AF Form 1206 and include bullets not to exceed 10 lines listing the actions and results for the award period. All bullets are duty related and should reflect "the individual's contribution towards improving logistics and unit operations."

Nomination Categories: Any logistics AFSC (or service equivalent) is eligible in the following categories:

Logistician of the Quarter - Junior Enlisted (E1-E4)

Logistician of the Quarter - NCO (E5-E6)

Logistician of the Quarter - SNCO (E7-E8)

Logistician of the Quarter - Civilian (GS-9 and above are not eligible)

Award: Each winner will receive a National LOA coin and a chapter Logistician of the Quarter certificate.

Board President: The Vice President, Kirtland LOA, will serve as the Board President and will solicit LOA members to serve as Logistician of the Quarter board members.

Validation: The Board President will submit all winners and packages to the President, Kirtland LOA for review and release. Any rebuttals will be resolved between the president and the Logistician of the Quarter board members. If there are no rebuttals, the president validates the nominees as winners of the award for that quarter and prepares a press release.
