MEMORANDUM FOR LOA RAPTOR CHAPTER MEMBERS
FROM: Raptor Chapter Secretary
SUBJ: Meeting minutes for Friday 12 Oct 01, LOA meeting:
The purpose of the meeting was to conduct official business and receive a contracting brief. Mr. James Garred gave the Air Force Contract Augmentation Program brief. The following issues were discussed:
Old Business:
- Treasurer's Report; $404.34 in the account and $103 on hand. There was a $25 expenditure from last report due to paying $25 fee to National LOA for web site space. Checks for membership dues received in August have not cleared yet.
- Golf Tournament: Lt Bestrain has not picked a date yet for the next LOA Golf Tournament. More to come
- LOA Trip: Capt Vessels has finalized our next trip. We will be visiting the F-15 and C-5 depots at WR-ALC as well as the Avionics repair facility. A date of Friday, 2 Nov is set; plan is to drive up Thurs, 1 Nov and have the tour Friday. Trip will be permissive TDY
- Raptor Chapter Web Site is up and running. Capt Rios is welcome to ideas and suggestions to make it better. We paid a $25 yearly fee to National LOA for the web site space
- LOA Table: Lt Godwin is researching cost of LOA table to put in O’Club bar. Once final cost is determined it will be put to the membership for consideration. More to come
New Business:
- No new business as of this time
- Upcoming speakers/meetings:
-- BGen Hodgkins, 325 FW/CC, will be our guest speaker Friday, 26 Oct at the O’Club. Meeting begins at 1530 hrs in the Eagle Rm. Afterwards we’ll head to the bar for those interested that little extra “mentoring”
-- Still working the 1AF briefing. With current events they are quite busy. More to come
- In December we will be taking nominations for LOA officers with elections in January
- We’d like to add a special thanks to the contracting folks for their hospitality, particularly Mr. James Garred for the super briefing he presented on contingency contracts. There were 20 LOA members present. This is what LOA is all about - professional development and broadening knowledge of the various Air Force missions. Thanks again!
-
If you have any recommendations or suggestions to make the LOA better, or
something you’d like to see discussed at future meetings, please let Lt Col
Coomer or Maj Deihl know.
